Drain Victorian Garden and Tea Tour: The Age of the Mystics

Welcome back to Douglas Country’s premier FREE event: the annual Victorian Garden and Tea tour! The Victorians were famous for being into mysticism. Be prepared to be enchanted by all the fun activities related to the theme!
There will be a passport of all stops and you will need to drop that at Ame and Jim’s for door prizes by 5.
Also, wear your best party clothes-costume contest to conclude the event at 5 at Ame and Jim’s.
All ages welcome but out of courtesy to all participants, please no picking of flowers and children must be supervised by attentive adults.
Awesome raffle basket/prizes available if you complete all stops! Pick up your entry at most stops (not at the drive or walk by stops) , get it checked at each spot, return the entry to the Beard’s by 5 for a chance to win!
Stop 1:
Ame and Jim Beard, 105 West A Avenue. This home, known as the Hasard House, boasts of being the most photographed properties in Drain and famous our hospitality. Ame is a master gardener and specialize in flowers, herbs, unique plants and berries.Enjoy live music, tea, hors devours, live art and lovely gardens.

Stop by to enjoy tea and taste the deliciousness of Cake Castle cookies! Live models! Bonnie Morgan is your host, 101 East B Avenue.
Stop 3
Gardens of Georgia Richmond, -drive or walk by! 231 West C Avenue.
Stop 4
Beaver Creek Unique
Come check out this awesome shop and munch on tea/cookies, free essential oil samples, and a raffle for a tea shirt and and a air plant!

Stop 5
Make sure to check out the Drain Castle! This gem is owned by the North Douglas School District. Check it out at: 500 South Main Street. Drive or walk by only. No check box for the raffle!
Stop 6
Stop 6 at 205 W “A” Ave is sponsored by the Friends of the Mildred Whipple Library and includes local history, a heritage rose bush, Drain Civic Center / library and covered bridge.
Stop 7
You are going to be dazzled by the garden of Rika Ottenbreit. Perched on top of the hill overlooking Drain with spectacular views, Rika has amazing paths and relaxing areas. Caution: this is a steep drive with some narrow stretches of road-take things slow and easy. 401 Lowe Road.
Stop 8:
Country Cabin Coffee and Laundry is passing out their delicious cookies! Join host Sandi Malchow at 438 West B Street.
Stop 9:
You surely have seen the super cute fairy houses at Sally Shepherd’s house. She is at 405 S Cedar and you can enjoy some cookies .
